FRACTIONATED COCONUT OIL VS.  MINERAL OIL

Many Personal Care Products in the market worldwide are using or mixed with mineral oil due to low cost. Mineral oil or liquid petrolatum is use a by-product in the distillation of petroleum to produce gasoline. It is a colorless oil composed of alkanes and cyclic paraffins, related to white petrolatum. Mineral oil is commonly used as a massage oil, cosmetics, lubricant and a laxative. Who would ever think that this mineral oil contains hydrocarbons that can be deadly. If person aspirate mineral oil, the lungs become coated with the oil. This blocks oxygen and prevents proper respiration, ultimately leading to chemical pneumonia.
